July 4, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of an Akron resident for Felony DWI early Thursday morning by Sheriff’s Road Patrols.
While on patrol in the Village of Akron, Deputies Simon Biegasiewicz and Michael Sluberski arrested Adam F. Maloney (29) and charged him with D Felony DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for an unsafe turn and imprudent speed at the corner of Hoag Ave. and Eckerson Ave. Maloney refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content. He was charged with the “D” Felony due to the fact that he had two prior convictions for DWI from 2008. He was processed and transported to the Holding Center to await arraignment in Newstead Court.
This arrest was the 164th DWI arrest by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013.
