FIVE DWI ARRESTS AROUND THE COUNTY


October 21, 2013-      Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrests of multiple drunk drivers over the weekend by Sheriff’s Road Patrols. 

      While on patrol in Buffalo on Friday night at approximately 11:50PM, Deputies Simon Biegasiewicz and Jason Clark arrested Vernon McCutcheon (36) of Buffalo and charged him with DWI, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for erratic operation on East Delevan Ave. near Courtland.  The felony charge was filed due to his license being revoked for prior DWI Arrests.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .16%, twice the legal limit.  McCutcheon was processed and released on appearance tickets for City Court. 

      While on patrol in Buffalo on Saturday morning at approximately 4:00AM, Deputy Dave Zamorek arrested Monique D. Blue (32) of Erie, PA and charged her with Aggravated DWI, Unlicensed Operation and traffic infractions after stopping her car for driving through the red light at Grider Street and Pembroke Ave. almost striking the Deputy’s vehicle.  A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .18%, over twice the legal limit, causing the DWI charge to be elevated to “Aggravated”.  She was processed and transported to the Holding Center, held on $500 bail. 

      While on patrol in Amherst at approximately 2:27AM Sunday morning, Deputy Lee Richard arrested Debra A. Liptak (53) of Williamsville and charged her with Aggravated DWI and traffic infractions after stopping her vehicle for equipment violations on Main Street near Berkley Road.  A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .18%, over twice the legal limit.  She was processed and released on appearance tickets for Amherst Court. 

  

     While on patrol in West Seneca on Sunday morning at approximately 4:36AM, Deputy Rich O’Neil arrested Brian J. Keitz (28) of Lancaster and charged him with DWI and multiple traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for erratic operation including driving down the shoulder of the road on the Rt. 400 Expressway.  Keitz refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content.  He was processed and released on appearance tickets for West Seneca Court. 

 

     While on patrol in Clarence on Sunday morning at approximately 5:00AM, Deputy Lee Richard arrested Donald J. Stevenson (23) of Buffalo and charged him with DWI, open alcoholic beverages, and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for driving all over both lanes on Main Street near Pineledge Drive.  Stevenson refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content.  He was processed and released on appearance tickets for Clarence Court. 

 

    These were the 249th – 253rd arrests for DWI by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013.
