ROUTINE FOOT PATROL ENDS IN ARREST OF BUFFALO MAN FOR ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD; MARIJUANA & V & T CHARGES
March 8, 2012- City of Buffalo- The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is announcing the arrest of 24 year old Demone Little of Millicent Avenue, Buffalo, on charges of an act in manner injurious to a child less than 17 (M); aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle (M); unlawful possession of marijuana (Violation) and parking infractions in connection with an incident in front of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Building on Pearl Street in downtown Buffalo around noon today.
Deputy Joseph Cottone was on routine foot patrol when he noticed a vehicle parked in a no standing/parking zone. When Cottone approached the passenger inside the vehicle he noticed small baggies of marijuana placed on top of clothes in a shopping bag next to a 2 year old child in the backseat of the car. The passenger in the vehicle told Deputy Cottone that her boyfriend Demone Little was the operator of the vehicle and that he was in the DMV dropping off paper work. Patrol arrested Little inside the DMV upon finding him in possession of several bags of marijuana.
Little was taken to the Holding Center and was being held on $200.00 bail. The passenger (whose name is not being made public because she hasn’t been charged) and her child were released. -30-
