January 15, 2012- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of four local subjects for Driving While Intoxicated by Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
While on patrol in Springville around 7:27PM, Deputy Don Hoelscher arrested Nicole V. Fisher (23) of East Otto and charged her with Driving While Intoxicated by Drugs (Narcotic Pills), traffic infractions, and Narcotics Possession after stopping her vehicle on East Main Street for erratic operation. The Sheriff’s Office Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz was called to Springville Substation to assist processing the arrest. Blood samples submitted to ECMC will determine her exact level of intoxication. She was processed at the Springville Substation and released on appearance tickets.
While on patrol in Wales at around 12:51AM, Deputy Biegasiewicz arrested Natashia J. Smith (34) of Holland and charged her with DWI and traffic infractions including Imprudent Speed after being called to check on a car off the road in the ditch on Rt. 16 near Warner Hill Road. A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .15%. She was processed at the Elma Substation and released on appearance tickets.
While on patrol in Elma at around 3:30AM, Deputy John Szczepanski arrested Matthew C. Post (25) of Buffalo and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions after being called to investigate a car off the road in the ditch on Jamison Road near Bowen Road. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .12%. He was processed at the Elma Substation and released on appearance tickets.
While on patrol in Clarence at around 1:38AM, Deputy Lee Richard arrested Jonathan S. Klimek (22) of East Amherst and charged him with DWI and Trespass after investigating a complaint of a drunken man driving to the Noco Express Shop on Transit Road and then walking into the store and going behind the counter. Klimek refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content. He was processed at the Clarence Substation and released on appearance tickets for his charges.
