VICTIM’S HALF BROTHER ACCUSED OF MURDER
July 17, 2012- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest of a 21 year old man in connection with the alleged murder of his half- brother - 20 year old Jessie Seneca of Route 438, Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.
Cody R. Testerman, of Brant Reservation Road- Cattaraugus Indian Reservation- was arrested this morning without incident at the Erie County Sheriff’s Office substation in North Collins where he gave a statement. He is currently at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment this afternoon on the second degree murder charge in- the Town of North Collins court.
Detective Jack Graham and numerous other detectives and personnel from the Erie County Sheriff’s office worked the case after the Erie County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a body, now confirmed as the victim, was discovered on a dirt road – off Route 438- on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation- Saturday afternoon by residents who lived nearby. Seneca is believed to have been seen last alive in the very early morning hours of Wednesday, July 11, 2012.
New York State Police and the Seneca Nation of Indian Marshals’ office assisted in the investigation- which continues.
