March 11, 2012 - Town of Concord- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that two missing children were quickly located by Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Sunday afternoon.
Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Sprague Brook Park by the family of two boys (ages 11 and 14) that were hiking on the cross country ski trails and became separated from the family. The family reported that they had not had contact with the boys for over two hours.
Deputies Jason Bouton, Ben Pisa, Theresa Nietzel, Rich O’Neil, and K9 Officer Jordan Grabar responded to the park and began a coordinated search effort with the family along with a Park Employee. Erie County Sheriff’s Air 1 Helicopter was also being activated to assist with the search.
At approximately 1920 hours, the Deputies located the boys on one of the trails and returned them to the family. The boys were not injured.
