Multiple Drivers Arrested Overnight

Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that multiple drivers were arrested by Sheriff's Road Patrols overnight.

After responding to an auto accident in the Town of Elma at approximately 11:15 PM Friday night, Deputy John Szczepanski arrested Joseph Grega (63) of Elma and charged him with Driving While Intoxicated and traffic infractions after he was involved in a Property Damage Accident.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .12%.  He was processed at the Elma substation and released on appearance tickets.

While on Patrol in the Town of Clarence at approximately 4:00 AM Saturday morning, Deputy Timothy Coulombe arrested Cooper R. Wittig (21) of Clarence and charged him  with Driving While Intoxicated after stopping his car for speeding on Main St.  Wittig refused the breath test.  Wittig was also charged with Criminal Possession of a controlled substance.  He was processed at the Clarence Substation and released on appearance tickets.

These were the 89th and  90th arrests for DWI by Sheriffs Road Patrols in 2014.
