Multiple DWI Arrests in Erie County


Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of multiple persons for Driving While Intoxicated over the weekend by Sheriff’s Road Patrols.

While on patrol on Rt. 16 in Holland at approximately 4:00AM Saturday morning, Deputy Rich O’Neil arrested Ronald L. Sheehan (46) of Arcade and charged him with Felony DWI (due to a prior conviction for DWI in 2004), Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (Revoked license for a DWI arrest) and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for erratic operation.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .13%.  He was processed at the Elma Station and released on appearance tickets.

While on patrol on Grand Island at approximately 10:50PM Saturday night, Deputy Rob Galbraith arrested Adam Gennuso (27) of Grand Island and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his car for speeding on East River Road.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .16%.  He was processed at the Grand Island Station and released on appearance tickets.

While on patrol on Grand Island at approximately 3:12AM on Sunday morning, Deputy Jordan Grabar arrested Ronald F. Strasser (58) of Alden and charged him with DWI after investigating an erratic driver complaint from a citizen on Grand Island Blvd.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .15%.  He was processed at the Grand Island Station and released on appearance tickets.

These arrests were the 68th – 70th arrests for DWI by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2014.
