March 29, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is reporting that the Erie County Sheriff's Office made two DWI arrests overnight. These two arrests are the 81st and 82nd DWI arrests for the Erie County Sheriff's Office in 2013.
In the first incident, Deputy Timothy Colling responded to a report of a property damage only accident (vehicle in ditch) on Foote Rd. in the Town of Concord. The driver, 41 yr. old Tina Green of Colden, was found to be intoxicated. Ms. Green was taken into custody and transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Springville Substation. A chemical breath test was administered to Ms. Green and this test showed her blood alcohol content to be .14%. Ms. Green was charged w/ driving while intoxicated and released to a third party on uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Concord Court at a later date.
Deputy Matthew Fuqua stopped a vehicle driven by 31 yr. old Rebecca Peek, when he observed using her cell phone while driving on Pavement Rd. in the Town of Lancaster. Ms. Peek was found to be intoxicated after she was given field sobriety tests. Ms. Peek started a physical altercation with the officers as she was taken into custody. Ms. Peek was then transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Clarence Substation where she was administered a chemical breath test. Ms. Peek's blood alcohol content was found to be .16%, twice the legal limit. Ms. Peekl was charged w/ driving while intoxicated, other vehicle and traffic charges and criminal charges. Ms. Peek was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in the Town of Lancaster Court at a later date.
