MULTIPLE DWI'S IN TOWNS OF EVANS AND CLARENCE


December 23, 2011- Town of Clarence/Evans - Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard reports multiple DWI arrests by sheriff's deputies overnight. Deputy Daniel Harris stopped a vehicle on the I90 in the Town of Evans for failing to keep right. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, 27 year old Rachel A. Monnen of Depew, for DWI. Monnen was transported to the Erie County Sheriff's substation in North Collins where a breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .20% over twice the legal limit. Monnen was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Evans court at a later date. In the Town of Clarence, Deputy Ben Pisa stopped a speeding car driven by 20 year old Stephanie M. Casciano of Williamsville. During the course of the stop it was determined that Casciano was intoxicated. She was arrested and taken to the Erie County Sheriff's substation in Clarence for a breath test. The test revealed Casciano's blood alcohol content to be .16%, twice the legal limit. She was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Clarence Court at a future date. Deputy Mathew Krypel stopped a vehicle on Erie Road in the Town of Evans for failing to keep right. Further investigation revealed that the driver, 52 year old John D. Redman of Lakeview was intoxicated. Redman was taken to the Erie County Sheriff's substation in North Collins for a breath test, which showed Redman's blood alcohol content to be .22%, over twice the legal limit. Redman was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Evans Court at a future date.
