July 10, 2012- City of Buffalo- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a Lockport woman for narcotics following a traffic stop by the Sheriff’s Strike Force in the City of Buffalo.
Erie County Sheriff’s Strike Force Deputies Brandon Stott and Gene Nati stopped a vehicle driven by 32 y/o Jill Kraska of Lockport for traffic violations after she stopped at an intersection and would not proceed through it or move for a long period of time.
Upon further interview and investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle was filled with used syringes containing what was believed to be heroin. Many empty wrappers and some small glassine envelopes were discovered containing residue and powders consistent with heroin. Kraska also had many different types of prescription pills in a small container that she was using for her consumption.
On top of the traffic infractions, Kraska was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and 2 Public Health Law charges for the pills in an unauthorized container and the opened, used syringes.
Kraska was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held pending her arraignment in City of Buffalo Court.
