May 6, 2012- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two Cattaraugus County residents for Narcotics Possession by Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Saturday night.
While on patrol on Olean Road (Rt.16) in Sardinia at approximately 7:34PM, Deputy Ben Pisa stopped a car driven by Katherine M. Loomis (24) of Machias for equipment violations near Allen Road. After interviewing Loomis and her passenger: Matthew G. Bellaus (19) of Franklinville, Deputy Pisa discovered that they were carrying several different types of narcotic pills in the vehicle, including oxycodone, endocet, and hydrocodone. Neither offender had any type of valid prescription to possess the controlled substances. Deputy Pisa subsequently arrested them both and charged them with Five counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Five Violations of the Public Health Law. Both were processed and released on appearance tickets for Sardinia Court.
