December 28, 2012- Sheriff Tim Howard reports that his Narcotics Squad executed a search warrant at 1414 Chestnut street in the Village of Alden. Village Justice Robert Woods signed the warrant authorizing the Sheriff's Narcotics Squad to search the premises. A quantity of marijuana and cocaine were found in the residence along with scales and other drug paraphernalia. Donald L. Cordova, 30, along with Rande Fisher, 21, were arrested in the residence along with a 15 year old juvenile and another 17 year-old male. Cordova and Fisher were charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Possession of Marijuana and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Cordova had a surveillance camera at the front door watching officers and attempted to flush some marijuana down the toilet but was stopped by the entering narcotics detectives. The juvenile was released to his mother and issued an appearance ticket to appear in family court. The17 year old was taken to the Erie County Holding Center along with Cordova and Fisher to await arraignment in the Village of Alden court.
