New K-9 Monument Unveiled in Buffalo's Black Rock Canal Park

August 13, 2013 - City of Buffalo - Erie County Sheriff's Captain Sean Simet and his K-9 partner Jules and Deputy Jordan Grabar and his K-9 partner Cort pose in front of the new K-9 monument at the Black Rock Canal Park today in Buffalo, after its' unveiling. This monument currently holds the names of 14 law enforcement dogs retired from the Erie County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit. The monument is the first in Erie County solely devoted to law enforcement dogs - recognizing their loyal and selfless contributions in protecting our communities. Other area law enforcement agencies are also invited to add their canines' names to the stone.
