OVERNIGHT DWI ARRESTS


January 6, 2011- Colden; SNI; Cheektowaga- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard reports that sheriff's deputies made three DWI arrests overnight.

In the first incident, Deputy Amy Klimowicz responded to a report of a car in the ditch on Hayes Hollow Road in the Town of Colden.  When Deputy Klimowicz arrive on the scene, she found the driver of the vehicle to be intoxicated.  60 year old Marilyn Jacobi of Colden was arrested and taken to the Erie County Sheriff's substation in Springville where a breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .15% almost twice the legal limit.  Jacobi was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Colden Court at a future date.

On the Seneca Nation Indian Reservation, Deputy Ben Pisa arrested an Oklahoma woman for DWI.  Deputy Pisa responded to a report of a vehicle abandoned and left running in the driveway of a local residence on Versailles Plank Road.  A short distance away, Deputy Pisa located a female walking down the road.  She proved to be the owner of the vehicle.  Further investigation showed that the woman, 43 year old Deanna Myers was intoxicated. She was arrested and taken to the Erie County Sheriff's substation in North Collins where a breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .15%, twice the legal limit. Myers was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Brant Court at a future date.

Deputy Eric Szakatulski was on Route 33 Expressway in Cheektowaga when he spotted a vehicle weaving out of its' lane.  Deputy Szakatulski stopped the vehicle, where upon he discovered that the driver was intoxicated.  43 year old David Golden of Clarence was arrested and taken to the Sheriff's substation in Clarence where he refused to submit to a breath test.  Golden was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Cheektowaga at a future date.
