Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard reports that the Erie County Sheriff's Office made two Felony DWI arrests overnight. These two arrests are the 68th and 69th DWI arrests for the Erie County Sheriff's Office in 2013.
In the first incident, Deputy Timothy Colling responded to a report of a property damage only accident on Creek Rd. in the Town of Sardinia. The subject, 32 yr. old Dustin Linsler of the Village of Springville, was located by patrol after leaving the scene of the accident. Mr. Linsler was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. Mr. Linsler was then transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Springville Substation where a chemical breath test was administered. This test showed Mr. Linsler's blood alcohol content to be .20%. Mr. Linsler had a prior conviction of DWI in February of 2008, therefore, he was charged w/ Felony and Aggravated DWI and several other vehicle and traffic charges. Mr. Linsler was transported to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in the Town of Sardinia Court at a later date.
Deputy Todd Jones responded to a report of a person slumped over in a vehicle at Erie Rd. on the Seneca Nation Reservation. The driver, 27 yr. old Aaron Conant of the Town of Brant, was found to be intoxicated. Mr. Conant was taken into custody and taken to the Erie County Sheriff's North Collins Substation. Mr. Conant refused to take the chemical breath test. Mr. Conant also had a prior conviction of DWI in June of 2011, therefore, he was charged w/ Felony DWI as well.
