The Vehicle was stopped for Driving without the Headlights On

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies Hoffman and Carriero arrested a 31-year-old Cheektowaga man following a traffic stop along Transit Road in Lancaster Tuesday morning.

 

At approximately 1:23 A.M. on August 14, Deputy Hoffman stopped a vehicle operated by Joshua Lukasik for driving without the vehicle’s headlights on.  While speaking with the driver, the Deputies gained consent to search the vehicle.  Their search discovered a set of metal knuckles with an attached spring assisted knife, a metal grinder with white powder residue, 108 Clonazepam capsules, and twenty Vyvanse pills.

 

Lukasik was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.  The defendant is being held at the Erie County Holding Center on $500.00 bail
