Felony Amounts of Cocaine & Marijuana Seized as well as Handgun
Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports his Narcotics Unit conducted a raid at 158 Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo on August 29, at approximately 4:45 P.M. The Narcotics Unit obtained a search warrant, signed by New York Supreme Court Justice John Michalski, for the residence as part of a joint investigation into gang, drug, and illegal gun activity.
Joined by members of the Cheektowaga and Buffalo police department’s narcotics units, the Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit seized a felony amount of cocaine and marijuana, a quantity of hydrocodone pills, a .38 caliber revolver and ammunition, more than $5,000.00 in U.S. Currency, some cutting agent, and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested following the raid were Lorenzo Brodie, 29 of Buffalo, and Lajuan Brodie, 24 of Buffalo.
Lorenzo is charged with a felony count of criminal possession of marijuana and misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Lajuan is charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic, criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell, and criminal possession of a firearm. The defendant is also charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana, and three counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Both defendants are detained pending their arraignment in Buffalo City Court at the Erie County Holding.
