Crack Cocaine Found in $50 Bill, Cocaine and Scale Discovered in Second Stop

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies made two cocaine possession arrests following traffic stops.

May 19, 6:57 P.M., Town of Eden – While traveling behind a vehicle on Gowanda state Road, Deputy Thurston observed the vehicle swerve on the roadway and cross over the fog line.  The Deputy initiated a traffic stop and interviewed the driver; during the interview, the Deputy observed an orange pill bottle in plain view without any labels of information.  When questioned, Daniel Dickey, 21, of Hamburg volunteered that the bottle contained Suboxone for which he did not have a prescription.  A search of the vehicle discovered marijuana, a glass pipe, a quantity of Suboxone, Alprazolam, and Oxycodone.  The Deputy also discovered an amount of crack cocaine in a folded $50.00 bill.

Dickey is charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession a controlled substance not in the original container, and two vehicle and traffic infractions.  After processing the defendant was released to the custody of a family member.

May 20, 2:25 A.M., Town of Cheektowaga – Deputies Szkatulski and Thurston stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Shanley and Griswold streets for a vehicle and traffic violation.  When they approached the vehicle, they detected the odor of marijuana and questioned the driver and passenger.  The Deputies discovered marijuana, a glass pipe, a scale, and a vial of cocaine on Corey Tworkowski – the passenger.

Tworkowski, 23, of Cheektowaga was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and marijuana possession.  The defendant was later released on appearance tickets.
