Deputies Responded To Three Separate Injury Crashes Sunday

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies, the Crash Investigation Unit and the ATV Unit responded to three injury crashes Sunday, July 28.

 

1:19 p.m., Town of Marilla – Deputies responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle along Bullis Road.  Marilla Fire Department EMS personnel reported the operator of a motorcycle suffered arm, leg, and possibly internal injuries resulting from the collision with a vehicle.  He was taken to Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight.  The occupants of the other vehicle reported no injuries.

 

The Sheriff’s crash unit is investigating the cause of the collision.

 

7:50 p.m., Town of Alden – Deputies responded to an ATV accident on private property on Westwood Avenue where a minor suffered head and back injuries after falling from the machine.  The minor was taken to Oishei Children’s Hospital by Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Company.

 

The Sheriff’s ATV Unit is investigating the incident.

 

11:45 p.m., Town of Concord – Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on Vaughn Street.  When Deputies arrived, they observed a vehicle in a ditch with significant front-end damage.  They also observed a female subject laying on the shoulder of the roadway.

 

A person near the crash scene found the female driver in the vehicle and unconscious.  The individual removed the driver from the vehicle and placed her on the shoulder.

 

Mercy EMS transported the driver to a landing zone in Boston where Mercy Flight transported the injured operator to Erie County Medical Center.  The incident has been turned over the Sheriff’s crash unit for further investigation.
