A Traffic Stop Finds Heroin, Cocaine, and Hashish
Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies arrested two males on Grand Island on October 16, following a traffic stop.
Around 11:13 P.M., a vehicle was stopped at Staley and Interstate 190 for vehicle and traffic law violations. While speaking with the occupants, the passenger displayed a digital scale with white powder residue on it and explained it was “cut.” Further investigation discovered a packet of heroin, a packet of hashish, and two packages of cocaine.
37-year-old Richard Rusiniak of Cheektowaga, the driver, was arrested and charged with a felony count of criminal possession of cocaine, two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and a vehicle and traffic law violation.
Daniel Charles, 55, of Niagara Falls, is charged with a felony count of criminal possession of cocaine, two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
The defendants are being held at the Erie County Holding Center pending their arraignment in Grand Island Town Court.
