DWI-Drugs Charges against Driver Who Struck Pole

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports 58-year-old Leonard Batog of Depew is charged with DWI – Drugs following an evaluation by a Sheriff’s Drug Recognition Expert. 

Deputies responded to a parking lot at 12775 Broadway in the Town of Alden June 20 at approximately 9:10 P.M. for reports of a vehicle striking a pole.  Following their investigation, Batog was arrested and charged with misdemeanor counts of operating a vehicle impaired by drugs and DWI – Drugs.  The operator was also issued four tickets for unsafe tires and operating a vehicle without an inspection. 

Batog was transported to the Erie County Holding Center, held on $250.00 bail, and later released.
