Buffalo, NY - Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard and the Buffalo Bills today released public safety and security information regarding the Guns 'N Roses concert on Wednesday, August 16 at New Era Field.
Fans attending this event are to be reminded that the NFL’s bag policy is in effect for this concert. This policy allows a clear bag equal to or smaller than 12" x 6" x 12". Also, large purses or backpacks are not permitted into the stadium, but small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (4.5” x 6.5”), are permitted.
New Era Field remains a tobacco-free venue, and all tobacco products are strictly prohibited, including e-cigarettes and lighters.
For a complete list of permitted and prohibited items and other stadium information, fans are encouraged to visit the New Era Field section of www.BuffaloBills.com.
The Sheriff’s Office will be implementing "game-day" traffic patterns and restrictions. At 2:00 pm, Abbott Road will be closed to through traffic between the north side and the south side of the stadium with access to parking lots and local streets. Following the concert, Big Tree Road (Route 20A) will be closed to westbound traffic beginning at approximately 10:30 pm.
Sheriff Howard explains, "We are implementing our game day traffic plan for the Guns 'N Roses concert. This traffic pattern provides the greatest safety for pedestrians and motorists. Since many people coming to the concert may not be familiar with the stadium, traffic, and parking, I encourage everyone to visit the Bills website and plan their trip in advance."
All parking lots will open at 3 pm and stadium gates open at 5 pm. The show is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.
