Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announces concert traffic information for the August 18 Jay-Z and Beyoncé OTR-II concert.

Guests familiar with game day traffic patterns will experience the same closures, but for people unfamiliar with New Era Stadium and event traffic patterns, please take note of the following:

3:00 P.M. - The Sheriff’s Office anticipates closing a section of Abbott Road, between the entrance to Lot 4 (north end of the closure) and Lot 2 (south end of the closure).  All through traffic will be diverted at that time.

4:00 P.M. – New Era Field parking lots open.

11:00 P.M. – Approximately at this time, Route 20a (a.k.a. Big Tree Road) will be closed to westbound traffic from Abbott Road to the Route 219 overpass.  All vehicles leaving the stadium and private lots along Rte. 20A must travel east.

The Sheriff’s Office is recommending drivers schedule extra time to get to the stadium Saturday due to Erie County Fair Traffic and construction projects along the major routes leading to the stadium.
