Marine Unit Stopped the Vessel on the Buffalo River

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Marine Patrol Unit arrested 58-year-old Daniel Fazzalaro of Depew for Boating While Intoxicated following a vessel stop on the Buffalo River around 8:50 P.M. Tuesday, June 11.

 

The Deputies observed multiple navigation law violations and stopped the vessel.  The operator was taken to the shore and given standard field sobriety tests. In addition, he registered a BAC level more than one and a half times the legal limit.

 

Fazzalaro is charged with misdemeanor counts of operating a vessel while intoxicated, and operating a vessel with a BAC of .08 or higher.  He is also charged with two separate navigational law violations.

 

He was released to a sober third party.
