Occupants from One Vehicle Airlifted, 3 Others Transported by Ambulance
Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports multiple victims were injured from a two-vehicle, head-on collision Monday night along Route 438 on the Seneca Nation of Indians’ territory.
Deputies Hyde and Thurston were dispatched at 8:07 P.M. When they arrived at the scene, they observed two heavily damaged vehicles and personnel from Seneca Fire and Reservation Ambulance removing occupants from both vehicles.
The two occupants from one vehicle were taken to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight for treatment of serious injuries. Three occupants of the second vehicle were transported to ECMC via ambulance with non-life-threating injuries.
The Sheriff’s crash unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
