Quickly Acts with 2 Extinguishers, Prevents Fire Spreading

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputy Retzlaff spotted smoke coming from behind the Tractor Supply store on Broadway in the Village of Alden.  When the Deputy went to the back to investigate, he observed a loading dock rubber bumper on fire and alerted employees.

The Deputy used two separate fire extinguishers to suppress the fire, and a volunteer fire company from Alden arrived and checked the building.  Firefighters did not find any structural damage and the scene was cleared.

The cause of the fire is unclear.
