Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announces the Sheriff’s Office will conduct roving DWI/impaired driving patrols over the holiday weekend starting Wednesday. The Sheriff’s Office is assigning several Deputies to impaired driving deterrence activities following the Sheriff’s “zero tolerance” policy.
The Sheriff’s Office will also participate in DWI checkpoints sometime over the next few days.
Everyone is reminded to have a designated driver or to utilize ridesharing when celebrating with friends and family.
Erie County’s STOP DWI is providing funding for impaired driving enforcement activities.
