Raid Nets Dealers of Pills, Narcotics in the University District

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant, signed by New York State Supreme Court Judge Timothy Drury, on a Winspear Avenue residence in the City of Buffalo, Thursday around 4:30 p.m.

Working from intelligence gathered over a four week period of youths purchasing drugs in Clarence, the Narcotics Unit, assisted by Buffalo Narcotics, raided the Winspear dwelling and recovered cocaine, marijuana and a large quantity of Xanax pills.

Arrested in the raid were: Zhe Wang, 20 of Buffalo; Charles Wanderer, 20 of Buffalo; Philip Berg, 20 of Buffalo; and Alexander Wiener, 20 of Buffalo.  Wang and Wanderer are charged with felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell and other charges associated with criminal possession of a controlled substance.  The other subjects, Berg and Wiener, were arrested on criminal possession and drug paraphernalia charges.

All the Defendants are held at the Erie County Holding Center pending their arraignment in Buffalo City Court.
