One Driver Deceased, Four Transported to Area Hospitals

Buffalo, NY – Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies and the Crash Investigation Unit (CIU) are investigating a fatal crash on Southwestern Boulevard in the Town of Brant.

At approximately 1:30 P.M., Sheriff’s Dispatchers received calls about a two-vehicle crash.  The operator of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased, and two minor passengers were taken to John R. Oishei Children's Hospital, where they were reported alert and conscious.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken to Erie County Medical Center, and the extent of injuries is not available at the time of this release.

The crash is under investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office sent its therapy dog, Loki, to the hospital to comfort the children.
