Crash Investigation Unit Searching for White Commercial Truck with Significant Front End Damage

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the crash unit is investigating a hit and run crash at Salt and County roads in the Town of Clarence.  Sheriff’s dispatchers received calls just after 2:00 P.M. Wednesday about a crash where a passenger vehicle rolled over following the collision.

Two children and a parent were in the vehicle at the time, and the children were taken to Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.  The minors are in stable condition and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and the mother was evaluated and released at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in searching for a white box-delivery or white semi-truck with a trailer with significant front end damage and was last seen traveling southbound on Salt Road toward Main Street.  There is a possibility the truck turned onto either Keller or Croop roads and homeowners in the area with home surveillance cameras are requested to contact the Sheriff Office at 716.858.2903 and reference CL# 17-086498.  Deputies are also requesting individuals who may have witnessed the crash to call as well.
