Sheriff’s Office seeking to ID Driver and Thrower

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard is seeking the public’s help in identifying a male subject who was recorded by security cameras throwing an object through a storefront window.

On May 8, Deputies responded to Xtreme Discount Mattress at 3211 Transit Road in Elma to investigate a criminal mischief incident that occurred at approximately 4:27 A.M.  An in-store surveillance camera shows shirtless, dark-haired, white male wearing light-colored jeans, white sneakers, and red undergarments exit a dark-colored SUV.  The subject proceeds to the front of the store where he picks up a piece of concrete, throws the object through the window, and stumbles back to the waiting vehicle.  The video also captures the vehicle traveling northbound along Transit Road.

Deputies are seeking the identity of the individual who broke the window as well as the driver of the SUV.  Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the subjects is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 716-858-2903 and refer to CL # 19-036015.
