2 Stops in the Southtowns Result in Multiple Narcotics Arrests
Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies arrested two drivers and two passengers following separate traffic stops in the Southtowns.
August 30, 7:12 P.M., Town of Concord – Deputy Francis stopped a vehicle at South Vaughn and Cattaraugus streets after observing traffic violations. Deputy Francis discovered the operator’s driver licensed is suspended and the subsequent search of the vehicle and passengers discovered Kevin Bremiller, Jr., 29 of Delevan, possessed a quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana.
Bremiller is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was released on appearance tickets for Concord Town Court. The driver was released.
August 31, 12:22 A.M., Town of Elma – Deputy Zamorek stopped a vehicle on Route 400 after observing vehicle and traffic law violations. His investigation discovered driver Russell Appell, 34 of Fillmore, NY, has nine separate active driver license’s suspensions. Further investigation discovered Appell was in possession of marijuana and his passenger, Heather Kleinsmith – 22 of East Aurora, possessed a misdemeanor quantity of Xanax, three hypodermic needles, and marijuana.
Appell is charged with aggravated unlicensed operations, possession of marijuana, and two vehicle and traffic law infractions. Kleinsmith is charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument, as well as possession of marijuana.
Both defendants were remanded to the Erie County Holding Center on $250.00 bail; Appell was later released after posting the bail.
