Driver with 2 Suspension was Swerving in and Out of the Lane

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of 29-year-old Samuel McCaslin of Machias following a traffic stop investigation on April 18, in the Town of Concord.

 

Deputies initiated a traffic stop along Route 39, near Route 219, after observing the vehicle swerving.  Deputies discovered McCaslin’s license is suspended for failing to answer summonses in the Town of Machias and the Village of Springville.  The subject was taken into custody, and a search of his vehicle discovered a quantity of crack cocaine under the driver’s seat.

 

Deputies charged McCaslin with misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.  He was also charged with a vehicle and traffic law violation for moving unsafely from the lane.

 

The defendant is being held at the Erie County Holding Center on $250.00 bail pending his arraignment
