Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Daniel Killian, 26 of Niagara Falls, was arrested Sunday, November 15 in the Town of Grand Island after he was stopped for speeding and a loud muffler.

At approximately 11:40 p.m., Deputy Grabar initiated a traffic stop on Grand Island Boulevard.  During the Deputy’s investigation of the driver, it was discovered that Killian was operating a vehicle without a mandated interlock device.  Further investigation revealed that the operator’s license was suspended and the vehicle was not insured.

Killian was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle and a misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle without an interlock device.  Killian was also cited for a loud muffler, speeding, registration violation, improper plates and no insurance.

The defendant is scheduled to appear in Grand Island Town Court at a future date.
