Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announces the Erie County Sheriff’s Office will be adding 16 additional shifts throughout the coming week dedicated to impaired driving enforcement.

The additional shifts will begin today and will run throughout the weekend and into the following week.  The added impaired driving patrols will focus on different areas of the county at various times of the day and Deputies will demonstrate a zero tolerance policy toward any reckless motor vehicle operation.

The additional patrols will be paid for by Erie County STOP DWI funding.
