2 Arrested After Morning Larceny at Walmart

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports two individuals involved in stealing several items from a Clarence Wal-Mart yesterday were arrest within hours following the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from store personnel about a larceny in progress at approximately 9 a.m.  Witnesses stated seeing the subjects leaving the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise and then loading the items into a vehicle.  The subjects drove away but a description of the vehicle was provided to Deputies Orlowski and Yavicoli who began search the area for the suspects’ vehicle.

Just before 10 a.m., Detective Piel and Deputy Orlowski were notified by Buffalo police that the suspects’ vehicle was located at a Maurice Street address and taken into custody were O’Neil Maldonado and Lawrence Fisher.

Fisher, 33, of Buffalo, was charged with one felony count of grand larceny and conspiracy and is held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment in Clarence.

Maldonado, 31, of Buffalo, was charged with grand larceny and has a pending court appearance in Clarence Town Court.

The recovered merchandise included five air guns, three laptops, and one piece of electronic equipment.
