2 Arrested Again For Drug Charges

Pair Arrested 5 Days Earlier 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputy Francis was dispatched to an apartment complex on December 2 in Springville for a suspicious vehicle complaint and subjects smoking marijuana.  When the Deputy arrived, he observed three individuals in a vehicle parked at 60 Colonial Drive. 

The occupants admitted they were smoking marijuana and the Deputies’ subsequent search discovered numerous varieties of pills and a quantity of cocaine.  Arrested following the search were Katy Lang, 30 of Freedom, Daniel Mason, 57 of Freedom, and Michael Burdic, 51 of Springville. 

Burdic is charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and two counts of possessing a controlled substance not in the original prescription container.  Mason is charged with four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of possessing a controlled substance not in the original prescription container. Lang is charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and two counts of possessing a controlled substance not in the original prescription container. 

Fourteen Oxycodone, thirteen Clonazepam, and Hydrocodone pills were seized after the search. 

All three defendants are held at the Erie County Sheriff’s Office pending the arraignment. 

Mason and Katy were arrested just days earlier by the Sheriff’s Office on drug and weapon charges.
