Detectives Find Hidden Shotgun, 1st Bail increased 2nd Bail set

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Sheriff’s Detectives and Deputies recovered a gun at the residence of the 17 year old male charged with felony assault and robbery charges following a shooting incident last week in Clarence.

 

Wednesday afternoon, the Sheriff’s office discovered a 12-gauge shotgun secreted in the minor’s Clarence residence bedroom.  His gun possession is in direct violation of an active Order of Protection issued by Clarence Town Judge Michael Powers.

 

Detectives charged the minor with a class-A misdemeanor for failing to obey a mandate and a class-A misdemeanor for criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use.

 

The defendant is remanded to the Erie County Holding Center, and his original bail is increased to $150,000.00 cash or $300,000.00 bond and bail for the new charges is set at $25,000.00 cash or $50,000.00 bond.
