Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Erie County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating an incident where a dump truck struck a utility pole along Thompson Road in the Town of Clarence.  This incident caused damage to the pole and a transformer resulting in the disruption of electric power to customers in the area.

The incident was reported at 6:45 A.M. and fire and utility personnel are on location.  A section of Thompson Road will be closed while crews work at the crash site.
