Multiple Narcotics Arrests During Weekend Patrols

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard Deputies made numerous narcotics arrest over the past weekend.

 

September 15, 12:15 P.M., Rath Building – Deputies Keem and Phillips arrested Laurence Johnson, 59 of Buffalo, on an active bench warrant out of Buffalo.  After being taken into custody, the Deputies discovered Johnson possessed two packages of heroin and a package of cocaine.  Johnson is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and was taken to the Erie County Holding Center where he is held without bail.

 

September 15, 11:03 P.M., Emery Park – A County Park Ranger called the Sheriff’s Office about a suspicious vehicle near the parks’ concert shelter.  When Deputy Okal arrived, he began interviewing the two occupants of the vehicle, Richard Wagner – 29 of East Aurora, and Kelly Janicki – 54 of Marilla.  Wagner admitted to having sex and smoking marijuana in the vehicle, and he was subsequently detained.  During a search of Wagner, Deputies discovered marijuana, a quantity of cocaine, and a cap with heroin residue.  Deputies also searched Janicki’s purse and discovered two hypodermic needles and nine methadone pills.

 

Wagner and Janiki are charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and four other violations then released on appearance tickets.

 

September 16, 6:41 P.M., Elma – Deputy Okal stopped a vehicle on Jamison Road for vehicle and traffic violations.  While investigating the occupants, the Deputy discovered Travis Ginnery, 25 of Great Valley, had an active warrant out of Cattaraugus County for a probation violation.  When the occupants were asked to exit the vehicle, Deputies observed two metal crack pipes and a bag of crack cocaine in plain view within the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in the discovery of additional crack cocaine and a package of heroin.  A further search of the subjects discovered a Suboxone strip hidden in Ginnery’s wallet which was found in Roseanne Burrell’s purse.

 

Burrell - 39 of Franklinville, Brittany Goss – 26 of Delevan, and John Wilson – 30 of Machias, were arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and later released on appearance tickets for Elma Town Court.  Ginnery is charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and is held at the Erie County Holding Center on $20,000.00 bail or bond.
