Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announced Tuesday afternoon that he has approved extra patrols for the extended Thanksgiving weekend.

Starting Wednesday afternoon, dedicated Sheriff Deputies will be assigned through the county to patrol for impaired and aggressive drivers.  The patrols will last throughout the holiday weekend and Deputies will demonstrate a zero tolerance policy toward any reckless operation.
