Lockport Man was Reportedly Unconscious when Crash was Called In 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies Orlowski and Arney responded to Main Street in the Town of Newstead Monday afternoon for a single vehicle crash where the driver was nonresponsive.


The Deputies requested a Sheriff’s Drug Recognition Expert to evaluate the driver, and Deputy Biegasiewicz concluded Matthew Metlak, 23, of Lockport was impaired by drugs.

 

Metlak is charged with DWI-Drugs, drinking alcohol in a vehicle on the roadway, and two additional vehicle and traffic violations.  Metlak was turned over to his parents. The incident was reported at 3:58 P.M.
