Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Sheriff’s Drug Recognition Expert was dispatched Monday morning to investigate a driver involved in a two-vehicle crash near Clarence Town Park on Main Street.

Deputy Biegasiewicz, a Sheriff’s DRE, responded to the crash scene to evaluate the operator of one of the vehicles involved in the incident.  The DRE performed a series of tests and evaluations and determined that Adam Lukowski, 28 of Cheektowaga, was impaired by drugs and he was subsequently charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs.  The defendant was also charged with operating an unregistered vehicle and failure to yield the right of way.

Lukowski was released on appearance tickets with a Clarence Town Court appearance scheduled for November 12.
