Driver with Revoked Licensed Stopped On Grand Island

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Dwayne Gamble, 52 of Grand Island, was arrested after a traffic stop on Whitehaven Road in the Town of Grand Island.

At approximately 4:40 am on January 2, Deputy Rogers initiated a traffic stop.  During the course of his investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle operator’s license was revoked for previous alcohol-related charges.  Also revealed was the operator failed to have an interlock device installed in the vehicle. Gamble was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle without an interlock device, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle and driving without a license.

The defendant was in custody at the Erie County Holding Center on $1000.00 bail and later released.  Gamble is scheduled to appear in Grand Island Town Court on January 20.
