Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies Hicks and Flowers were dispatched to the scene of a one-vehicle, rollover crash on Erie Road in the Town of Brant, Tuesday Morning shortly after 6:30 a.m.  When the Deputies arrived first responders from Farnham Volunteer Fire Company and its EMS squad were on location administering first aid to the operator and a two-year-old girl.

The Deputies investigated the crash scene and discovered the vehicle drove off the roadway and into a ditch which caused the vehicle to flip, striking a mailbox before coming to a stop in the ditch on the vehicle’s hood.

The two-year-old passenger was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to Buffalo Women and Children’s Hospital for additional medical evaluation and treatment.  The operator, Alyssa Bishop, 30 of Fredonia, was treated for her injuries and transported to Erie County Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

Deputy Hicks, assisted by a Town of Tonawanda Police DRE, evaluated the operator and determined Bishop was impaired by drugs and subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated DWI – child passenger less than 16 years old.

The defendant was released on appearance tickets for Brant Town Court.
