Vehicles Near the Garage Sustained Damage

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies Francis and Farina responded to a vehicle crash on Boston State Road in the Town of Boston around 7:30 P.M.  Calls detailed a vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole, then careened into a garage causing significant damage to the structure and vehicle located near it.

When the Deputies arrived at the scene, they spoke with the operator of the vehicle, Kevin Thomas – 63 of Boston, and observed signs of intoxication.  Thomas failed the subsequent standard field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI.

While inventorying the defendant’s vehicle, Deputies discovered a Hydrocodone and a Diazepam pill in a plastic bag.  Criminal possession of a controlled substance misdemeanor counts were added as well as two misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief, and a misdemeanor count of reckless driving.  Thomas was also cited for drinking alcohol in a vehicle on a highway, speeding, failing to keep right, and failing to use the designated lane.

The defendant was released later with tickets.
