Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that members of the Jail Management Division’s K9 unit discovered a package of marijuana in the female lobby restroom of the Erie County Correctional Facility on Tuesday, October, 13.

The Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigating into the package and how it entered the facility.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds the visiting public that anyone caught trying to smuggle contraband into a prison can face felony charges.
