Suboxone, Heroin, and Marijuana Discovered 

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that his deputies made two arrests during separate traffic stops.

 

December 7, 10:22 P.M., Town of Evans – Deputy Szkatulski stopped a vehicle on Southwestern Boulevard for equipment violations.  When the Deputy approached the vehicle he detected the odor of marijuana; the subsequent vehicle search discovered a glass pipe, a quantity of Suboxone, and marijuana.  Nicholas Lewis, 20, of Angola was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance not in the original container and equipment violations.  The defendant was released on appearance tickets.

 

December 8, 3:22 A.M., Town of Brant – Deputy Day conducted a traffic stop on Route 438 after observing a traffic violation.  When he approached the vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana emanated from the cabin and a subsequent search discovered marijuana, Suboxone, and heroin.  Robert Deptula, 34, of Buffalo was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana and later released on appearance tickets.
