Father & Son and Crack Dealer Among Subjects Arrested

 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies made a number of traffic stops this weekend that resulted in drug arrests.

 

February 25, 11:35 P.M., Town of Brant – Deputy Christian stopped a vehicle on Old Lakeshore Road for vehicle and traffic violations.  While speaking with the driver, the Deputy detected the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  During the investigation, Destinee Loyd, 29, of Buffalo turned over a bag of marijuana to the Deputy.  Loyd is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle without a license, and an equipment violation.  She was released on tickets.

 

February 25, 2:44 A.M., Town of Concord – Deputy Bauer stopped a Pennsylvania registered vehicle on Route 219 for a vehicle and traffic violation.  The Deputy’s investigation resulted in the discovery of two ounces of crack cocaine in Antwon Jacobs’ possession.  Jacobs, 35, of Bradford PA is charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell, a felony count of criminal possession of a narcotic, and a misdemeanor count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.  A second passenger, Isaac Corpening, 32, of Concord was arrested for an outstanding Erie County Family Court warrant.

 

Both defendants were transported to the Erie County Holding Center where they are remanded pending their arraignments.

 

February 26, 2:48 A.M., Town of Grand Island – Deputy Rogers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 190 near Long Road.  The Deputy’s investigation discovered the two occupants possessed a quantity of marijuana and were smoking opiates.  Steven Fleck Sr. and Steven Fleck II were both placed under arrest and taken to the Erie County Holding Center.  While being processed at the holding center, Deputies discovered a quantity of marijuana and a piece of tinfoil containing some controlled substance residue secreted in his underwear.

 

Fleck, Sr., 58, of Youngstown is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance and a felony count of introducing contraband into a prison.

 

Fleck II, 21, of Youngstown is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, obstructing governmental administration and a felony count of tampering with evidence.

 

Father and son are remanded to the holding center pending their arraignment in Grand Island Town Court. 

 

February 26, 11:35, Village of Springville – During a traffic stop on West Main Street near Route 219, Deputy Bauer discovered three ounces of marijuana in the operator’s possession.  Daryl Tait, 18 of Buffalo, is charged with criminal possession of marijuana and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center on $500.00 bail.

 

February 27, 2:46 A.M., Seneca Nation of Indians Reservation – While investigating a rollover accident along Versailles Plank Road, Deputies discovered two ounces of marijuana in the vehicle.  Deputies Hyde and Szkatulski arrested and charged Karrigan Jimerson, 20 of Brant, Mark Swantek, 23 of Brant, and Keith Renaldo, 33 of Angola, for criminal possession of marijuana.  All the defendants were issued appearance tickets and released.
